It’s finally the holiday season, and Thanksgiving is coming up next week! This is a national holiday to celebrate and be thankful for the year’s harvest. Now, it is celebration of gratitude, because it is important to be thankful for what you have! This is also a day to show your appreciation to your friends and loved ones, because you might not have made it this far without them. Most likely, you will be spending this festive day with them, so we will get the party started by helping you prepare for this Thanksgiving Day!

First, we will tell you what kind of drink will go well with that turkey, ham, steak, or whatever it is you prefer for Thanksgiving.

If you are having the traditional turkey, we will suggest white wines, such as a Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Also, a Sparking Apple Cider will do the trick. These will go well with the many side dishes that come with the turkey, such as cranberry sauce and stuffing. For beers, we suggest any type of ale, such as an IPA or brown ale.

If you are having a honey-glazed ham, we will suggest red wine like Riesling or Merlot. These will accent the sweet flavors of the ham. For beers, we suggest Wheat Beers, because they also accent the sweetness of the ham while balancing out the salty flavors.

If you are having steak, we will suggest red or white wine depending on your preference. However, red is preferred, because it allow you to get the best flavor out of your steak. For beers, we suggest any type of IPA, but lagers will do just fine.

If you are having lobster, we will suggest a white wine like Chardonnay. This is always the popular pair, because the Chardonnay will bring out the full flavors of the lobster.

Next, we will tell you an awesome after-dinner cocktail to keep the Thanksgiving party going! This cocktail will incorporate the festive flavors of apple cider and bourbon. It is called the Bourbon Apple Cider

Ingredients:
– 4 oz apple cider
– 2 oz bourbon
– 2 tablespoons cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– orange wedges
– rosemary sprig

Directions:
1. Mix the dry ingredients (cinnamon and sugar) on a plate.
2. Get the orange wedge, and run it around the rim of the glass. Then you will add cinnamon and sugar to the rim by dipping it upside down into the plate. Then add ice.
3. In a tumbler, shake cider, bourbon and ice. Then strain the tumbler into the glass.
